Steve Hoyle, this year’s president, is one of our more accomplished members and his evenings are not to be missed.

John Riley will judge Round 2 of our year long competition for prints.

Jenny Stock is an award winning underwater photographer as well as being a professional diver and television director and camera operator above and below the water surface.. Her web site is packed with stunning images and this will be a great evening.

Martin Henfield, one of our members, will reflect on his time as a television journalist and presenter.

Suzanne Powell has a Post Graduate Diploma with Merit from British Academy of Photography. She has made a study of the Pictorialist movement of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century and has done a great deal of research, particularly into what happened after 1915,

Our annual informal competition between two teams of our members. This will be judged by members of Bury Art Society to give us a different perspective on our photography.

Will Stead EFIAP CPAGB PSA 3 will judge Round 2 of our year long competition for digital images.

The Art Society will present their work based on photographs we supplied to them last year.

The home leg of this regular fixture. Both clubs enter the best of the best of their prints and digital images. This is always a high quality evening.

Steve Proctor recently judged our annual print competition and has also impressed us in the past with his own photography. Tonight, he will return to show us some more of his own images.

Keith Barber CPAGB LRPS FIScT will judge Round 1 of our year long competition for printed images.

Gordon Jenkins APAGB recently judged our annual projected image competition. Tonight he will tell us about the Awards for Photographic Merit of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain illustrated by panels of successful entries for the various levels.

Another chance to see our annual competition images including the ones that didn’t quite get awards.

Ove Alexander CPAGB BPE 1* will judge Round 1 of our year long competition for digital images.

This is a practical evening. Marlies will set up a number of tables with her collection of exotic insects. Members will need to bring their camera, a macro (close focusing) lens, a tripod and remote release cable (or use the camera’s delay timer). Marlies will provide continuous lighting but you could use ring flash or twin flashes if you wish.
Between us we can swap lenses and flash gear or put a card in someone else’s camera to take our own macro images.

This is a Sunday daytime meeting.

This evening we will present and discuss our results from the flower photography and editing evenings in January.

Joint meeting at Bolton Camera Club, there is no meeting in Bury this week

A film by Roy Turner and others from Bury Cine Society. This film sold out the Bury Met Arts Centre several times when it was first released.

Members will hand in their entries for this year’s annual competitions. There is no other business this evening other than the chance to hang around for a relaxed chat.

Our members, Bev Hayes and Maurice Wilson, will show us some possible ways of producing photographic art from the types of images we took two weeks ago.
In February we will show each other our results based on these ideas and any other technique you wish to use, starting with the images from the club night or any similar ones you have been inspired to create.

Duncan Phillips and Irene Amiet are based at Knowle Top Studios, a fine art gallery in Clitheroe.

This is a practical evening so bring your camera, or smart phone. Other equipment such as flash, tripod and remote release are not essential but do bring them if you wish.
We will have half a dozen tables set up with subjects, backdrops and continuous lighting. Do bring subject matter if you can. Maybe from your garden or from a florist.
Flowers, branches and anything else that would make a composition. And some means to support them.
