An opportunity for our members to shape the future of the society.

Take Inspiration - Take A View Steve will be showing a selection of images spanning 10 years of intermittent landscape photography in the U.K. and sharing his thoughts on photography in general.

We will be showing the 60 prints that didn’t quite make it into the PAGB Masters of Print Exhibition. This is a chance to see high quality photographic printing at first hand.
This is a change to our programme. The Panels of Four evening will now be at a later date.

Steve Smith, one of our own members, will show images from 2023 including Austria, creatures, Scotland, sports, France and the Lake District.

“Farms and Farming” judged by members led by Eb Swarbrick. The winner of the last of these competitions has chosen a theme for this evening and picked another two of our members to join them on the judging panel.

Maurice will show images he has collected under the title, “I wish I’d taken that.” A variety of images that caught his eye from various sources.
And then; a video, "Ramsbottom's Heritage" featuring historic photographs.

Round two of our bi-monthly projected images competition. Judged by Steve Proctor

Members will submit images that may or may not have been wholly or partially generated by “Artificial Intelligence”. They will be judged by a panel of our members. Later the audience will say, by a show of hands, whether they think the image was produced by AI. The authors will reveal the truth, and can share how they did actually produce their images.

This evening we will be divided randomly into two teams for an informal competition judged by members of Bury Art Society. The team captains have chosen the best of the submitted images not previously seen in competitions.

This is firstly for anyone who has received advice or comments from a competition judge and would like some help with implementing these ideas. Other members, please suggest anything else you would like to see or hear on these evenings.

George Steele, one of our own members, will show a variety of methods for converting digital colour images to monochrome. George is a very experienced photographer and well known around the region as a judge of camera club competitions.

This is the home leg of this year’s Battle with Bolton Camera Club. The judge will be Alfred Brown CPAGB Hon LCPU
